If you're into good, as in good for you food, Michael Pollan's visit to the great food city of Austin is something you ought to catch! I'll be giving away two tickets to the event!
Reply to me on Twitter @MisoHungry or post in the comments with your favorite lentil recipe. @VestaTheDog will pick a winner on Oct. 29th! Winner will be notified via email or Twitter. So be sure you leave contact info somewhere I can reach you!
For
the past twenty-five years, Michael Pollan has been writing books and
articles about the places where nature and culture intersect: on our
plates, in our farms and gardens, and in the built environment. He is
the author of four New York Times bestsellers: Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual (2010); In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto (2008); The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals (2006) and The Botany of Desire: A Plant’s-Eye View of the World (2001).
Pollan will be interviewed by our own Addie Broyles. Addie is a force in our local food community; seeking out the trends, unearthing hidden gems, and bringing together many culinary souls.

Dal with poached egg, cilantro, and yogurt. So good!
ReplyDeleteDal for me too. I've been craving good Indian for a while!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I'd love to win tickets to see Michael Pollan! My favorite lentil recipe is a soup made with red lentils from the William Sonoma Soup book. The soup has chopped, canned tomatoes and fresh spinach, and you add lemon slices for flavor while it cooks.
ReplyDeleteWoohooo!!!! Vesta says Lisa is the winner!
